If you climb National Highway １ Route from Hakone Yumoto to Tonosawa Onsen, you will find a columnar glasses-shaped tunnel "Hakomine Cave Gate" on one side. It is also a relay point for Hakone Ekiden, a wonderful appearance that blends into the surrounding landscape. I have passed by my car many times, but the detour road across Hayakawa was completed ６ years ago and is now unavailable. The big reason for the detour is that it is "small and difficult to pass between large buses" than "aging", so that at least pedestrians can pass ...
