Chengkan Ancient Town | Truly deserving of its reputation as the number one village in the south of the Yangtze River, I will visit again
During those days in Chengkan, the sunshine was simply too splendid to describe🌞!
My friends and I plunged into this ancient village in the south of Anhui, as if stepping into a time tunnel✨. Did you know? There are 21 national key cultural relics here!🏛️ Strolling leisurely through this ancient village in spring, the willow trees by Yongxing Lake are so lush🌳, and the sunlight sprinkling on the rooftops is breathtakingly beautiful💖.
Honestly, I really like the ancient and narrow streets of Chengkan, as well as the ancestral halls and stone bridges, each exuding the charm of the years🏞️. Imagine the trees stretching out from the courtyards, casting a veil over the streets, the feeling is just amazing!😍 Moreover, this place has the most well-preserved Ming Dynasty architecture in the country, it's like traveling back to ancient times🏮.
You must visit Chengkan in spring! It was not only rated as the number one village in the south of the Yangtze River during the Song Dynasty, but it is also an ancient town in Huizhou, southern Anhui, that is seriously underrated🏠.
✨The Ancient of Chengkan✨
This place is known as the hometown of national treasures! There are a total of twenty-one national key cultural relics!📜 Xia House, Luodong Shu Ancestral Hall, Zhongying Tower, Yanyi Hall, these places are like the 'museums' of the village, each step taken is a step in the long river of history🚶♀️.
✨The Grandeur of Chengkan✨
Speaking of the grandeur of Chengkan, it's not just talk! The Bagua layout perfectly displays the wisdom of geography and environmental science🌐. Walking through its three streets and nine alleys feels like exploring a huge maze🕵️♀️. And the Luodong Shu Ancestral Hall, known as 'the number one ancestral hall in China', its scale and architectural art are truly awe-inspiring!🤩
✨The Beauty of Chengkan✨
The most well-preserved Ming Dynasty ancient village in the country, this place is a museum of Hui-style architecture!🏛️ Pavilions, platforms, towers, attics, bridges, wells, ancestral halls, all kinds of styles are available, so beautiful that it's dazzling👀.
✨The Elegance of Chengkan✨
The bridges over Yongxing Lake, on sunny days the reflections of trees and houses on the lake surface are like a painting🖼️. The ink and brush of Wenyu Hall add a literary atmosphere to this place🖌️. Walking on the stone-paved roads, the footprints, one deep and one shallow, seem to echo the whispers of time👣.
📸There are many must-visit spots in Chengkan!
The Bagua archways are a must-see, 'Traveling through Chengkan, one's life will be without hardship', the 13 Bagua-shaped archways at the village entrance symbolize overcoming life's difficulties, which feels very meaningful!💪 There are also Yongxing Lake, Saiqiu Square, Luodong Shu Ancestral Hall, and the alleys, three streets and nine lanes of the village, each worth savoring👌.
📍The location of Chengkan is in Chengkan Ancient Town, Huangshan, Anhui, just search for '78 Baolun Road, Huizhou District, Huangshan City' in your navigation system📍. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride from Huangshan North Station, super convenient!🚗
I have already planned the tour route for you: starting from the entrance of the scenic area, first go to the viewing platform to overlook the panorama🏞️, then stroll along Yongxing Lake🚶♂️, and then go to Saiqiu Square to feel the joy of harvest🌾. Finally, delve into the ancient village and explore the cultural relics hidden in the streets and alleys🔍. Don't forget to stay a night at Wenyu Hall, that museum-style homestay will definitely give you a unique experience!🏨
Similar to Hongcun but not too similar, the planning needs to be refined, especially the South Gate parking lot. The commercial traces are not obvious, very comfortable, like the ancient village to see.
Turn around. I hope to improve the barrier-free passage. To the second half, a slate slope has been added to the ladder. There is no step in the first half. It is not very convenient. I hope to increase it. It is a must for the 5a scenic spot. Wheelchair-bound people can enter from the north gate, only in the village, steps are not many.
I think it is stronger than Hongcun, at least there should be some scenery, such as Huizhou architecture, such as mountains and water, and then the courtyard is deep, and the focus is on fewer people, easy to produce movies, and easy to see the scenery, not to see people, commercialization is much better than Hongcun, no serious, So the play experience is much better.
I didn't plan to go, but I went to a place that I didn't regret. It was not as famous as Hongcun, but the scenery was beautiful, quiet, less commercial atmosphere, and the cultural charm was sufficient. It was worth a visit and slowly tasted the way of Chinese feng shui.
Drive slowly to the parking lot, watching the scenery on the road feels like you have come to a paradise; or do your homework in advance or find an explanation; slowly go shopping and eat, see the gossip sign explanation, cross the safe cut, take a picture of the lake view, touch the Huizhou architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties; Wine cakes are not recommended. Roche's pancakes are especially delicious when they are hot. Several dried plum cakes are more cost-effective for 5 yuan.
5A level scenic spot, a place worth visiting. We found an explanation, 100 yuan, and took us to visit 2-3 for an hour. Because with the elderly and children, I couldn't walk anymore. I asked the explanation guide to help call a sightseeing car for 5 yuan and send us back to the parking lot. This is not bad.
Chengkan is very beautiful, there is no excessive commercialization, arrived at 7:30 in the morning, the village is quiet, there are no noisy tourists, only the sound of running water, as soon as I enter the village, I see a few big white geese that quack and scream, watching me approach the gesture to bite me, waiting for me to go one step forward, but it was scared by me again. Haha, cute
