Daitokuji is a temple of the Jodo sect on Nakamise-dori, about a 6-minute walk from JR Kawasaki Station. It is a temple of a modern building in the downtown area. The principal image is the statue of Amida Nyorai. It was listed in the pamphlet I got at the Kawasaki Exchange Center, so I worshiped. Probably it used to be a large temple, but now it is surrounded by a short passage leading to the gate, a main hall that doesn't look like a new temple or shrine, and condominiums, multi-tenant buildings and shops.
