What travelers say:

Located in western Kenya, close to the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest inland lake, Ruma National Park is considered the last refuge and refuge for the endangered and endangered Ron antelope, which is considered one of Africa's rarest antelopes. The park was founded in 1966 to protect the indigenous population of its rare soft-sheeped antelope (not found anywhere else in Kenya). It was granted national park status in 1993 and renamed Ruma National Park at the request of the local community to commemorate one of Kenya’s most powerful wizards, the feared Gor Mahia, who lives high on the cliffs of the hills that now belong to Kanyamwa. Classic images of East Africa are realized in Ruma National Park, a rolling Savannah land dotted with picturesque acacia trees and surrounded by mountains. The park is compact in size and easily traverses just two main routes, offering unique reverie woodland, golden Savannah and magnificent cliffs.
