Emerald Lake (Emerald Lake) is the largest lake in Youhe National Park, made of hailstones, an area of 1 square kilometer, the water depth is only 28 meters, the lake is clear to the bottom. The remains of glaciers that have accumulated over the centuries at the bottom of the lake will show a different shade of green under the sun, known as the "emerald of the Rocky Mountain". The ridge between the two mountains on the lake is the site of the famous Burgess shale fossil bed. The fossil bed, discovered by archaeologist WACKER, not only challenges Darwin's theory of evolution, but also reproduces the Earth's ecology more than 530 million years ago. In 1981, UNESCO included the Burgess shale fossil bed in the world heritage site.
