The Silver Mountain Fortress is the tallest mountain structure in Europe. In the second half of the 18th century, the fortress guarding the Silverstone (Srebrna Przecz) was built at the initiative of King Frederick II of Prussia. The center of the attraction is the fortress, as well as the city walls and forts on the ridges of the Solway Mountains. The fortifications are completely self-sufficient and can withstand sieges for about9-12 months without external supplies. Every day, a guide in the uniform of the historical Napoleonic Army soldiers leads the tour of the castle for about an hour.
