Josenji is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji school located about a 10-minute walk from Gondo Station. It is a temple on the approach to Honganji Nagano Betsuin. I stopped by when I visited Nagano Betsuin in April. It is a modern building. In front of the temple, there was a statue of Shinran Shonin's childhood "Matsuwakamaru". It was a cute statue with a chorus.
