Coming from England this tree didn't seem that special. Yes it is big but not that big! Checche is Italian for magpie because magpies roosted there.

Learned about the old Oak tree while in Pienza and drove by to have a look, and glad that we did. The huge tree with many large branches is a beauty and stands out from the rolling grass covered hills...
