The historic center is characteristically Gothic-style San Giovanni Batista parish church, with an exterior wall and a tower about 60 meters from the distance. The interior is made of lava rock and enjoys a variety of artworks, especially beautiful when the light filtered by colored windows illuminates them. Arucas is also known as the City of Rum and is the largest brewery in all of Canary Islands.
