The Girls' Tower is located in the center of Baku Old Town, next to the seafront, and is part of the 12th century Khan King's Palace complex. The tower is 27 meters high and is 8-story cylindrical, each floor can accommodate more than 50 people. There is a well in it, and the water is cool and luscious in all seasons. There are defenses on every window of the tower. Hot melted lead can be poured, or burning oil torches to resist the attack of foreign enemies. The tower also endured the earthquake of 1304, many residential houses were razed, it is safe. The origin of the tower name is different. Once upon a time there was a pair of lovers, rich women and poor men, the girl's father did not agree with the marriage, and put the girl in the tower. The girl jumped into the choppy Caspian Sea under the tower in order to show her loyalty to love, and the young man also showed his love. Another is that this tower protected countless girls from foreign enemies in the war, so they got this beautiful name. Ticket: 15 manat, you can climb to the top address: Maiden Tower, Bak?, Azerbaijan time: 9:00-18:00

The palace of the Silvansha is located at the highest point of Baku Old Town, built in the 15th century and is a shining pearl in the history of Azerbaijani architecture. The main entrance of the palace is decorated with a gate building, located on the west side of the palace, and the stairs of the gate building lead to the high octagonal hall of the dome. In 2000, the Palace of the Silvansha was included in the World Heritage List along with the old town of Baku.

Historical Architectures

The Aliyev Cultural Center, built in May 2012, is a classic work by the late pioneer architect Zaha Hadid. It is a landmark in Baku city and even country. The Cultural Center was pre-opened on May 10, 2012 under the auspices of the current President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The building is also named after the current President. The Aliyev Cultural Center is both a modern translation of Islamic architectural temperament and a rebellion against rigid Soviet-era architecture. Like a magic wand-wielding wizard, Zaha blends Islamic culture, natural forms and pioneering art, creating a huge array of folds and open spaces that connect with the urban environment. The high completion of Aliyev Cultural Center also makes Zaha her theoretic works. The Azerbaijani government allocated $6 billion a year to build public buildings, and after Zaha won the international competition, the abundant funds gave architects a high degree of creative freedom, so that the design and construction of the cultural center is less affected by external factors. Strong economic support ensures the project’s difficult, high-quality and high completion, and allows us to see the orderly facade of the Aliyev Cultural Center today, the transparent and clean curtain wall, and the exquisite and stable structure. Standing on the square and looking at the Aliyev Cultural Center, it seems that a gray-white concrete plane is peeled off the ground and expanded into two peaks, with the surface expanding, splitting, flowing and rising in the air. In the clear topology of the site, the building itself is an explosive node, with its climax at the 80 m roof top. Zaha's first work in China was the Guangzhou Grand Theatre , Beijing Galaxy SOHO complex, Nanjing Youth Olympic Center, Hong Kong Polytechnic University Building and Beijing Daxing International Airport. Address: 1 Heyd?r ?liyev prospekti, Bak? 1033 Azerbaijan Time: 11:00-18:00 Monday off, in fact, the main look is the English name: Heydar Aliyev Centre

The National Museum of History in Azerbaijan is small and in a very humble building. I am interested in how it functions to document the development of the country, especially the war and contradictions with Armenia, and the relations with Russia, Turkey and China. The first map of the exhibition is quite meaningful, sworn in sovereignty over the disputed territories of Aya. This makes me look forward to going to the National Museum of Armenia next, what kind of voice? This may be one of the charms of the museum.

[Fire] There are still many fire-worshiping cultures in Azerbaijan. Fire, in Azerbaijan, holds a very important position. The temple of fire, 30 kilometers from the capital Baku, is famous worldwide, that is, the place with eternal fire ~ "fire squall". A long fire burns quietly in the center of the courtyard. The surrounding huts are actually a detailed introduction to the history and allusions of the temple. In fact, the original real Changming fire was extinguished in the 19th century due to the exhaustion of underground resources, and now what I see is actually the Changming fire of natural gas that was manually re-connected in the former Soviet period. Ticket: 4 Manat Time: 10:00-19:00 Address: C285+5CR, Bak?, Transportation: Metro Line 1, Take the gara garayev station. Transfer to bus 191.
