It is closed to visitors
When we arrived, really late as it were near our hotel we found a gate that is closed. The next morning it was also closed, I guess it is not accesible anymore, understandable if it is a private house...
We viewed it from the road and we thought the accompanying house was abandoned. The field in fromt of it seemed looked after. Still we decided not to trespass. Would have been nice to see it up close.
Turf houses and turf out-buildings can still be seen from the main highway along the drive east from Kirkjubaejarklaustur. It is always a joy to see them although many are in disrepair. Like the world...

I was able to experience this cute little Icelandic viking houses at a closed proximity. A must to stop when traveling near this area.
