    Meganebashi

In Kyushu there many stone bridges of this form, so-called Meganebashi. This one in Tamana is one of them. As the river is an artificial canal and not much water, you can approach the bridge girders.

The surrounding green parks make the Megami Bridge even more beautiful.

    Original Text

Tamana City on the northwestern edge of Kumamoto Prefecture. From the Kumamoto City side, turn left across the large river called Kikuchi River in Tamana City, and there is a parking lot on the riverbank, and there was Takaseme Kagami Bridge nearby. Takaseme Kagami Bridge is a stone double bridge built by Juhei Takase, Takase Town Magistrate in 1848 at the end of the Edo period. It is built on a waterway like an irrigation canal, but this waterway and its surroundings were maintained as a park and it was a very nice place.

I came to Tamana City from the northern part of Kumamoto City to the west. After crossing the bridge over the Kikuchi River, turn left immediately, and there was a large parking lot. If you climb the embankment from the parking lot and head west, you will see a small artificial irrigation canal called Urakawa. The stone bridge that was built there is Takaseme Kagami Bridge. Takase Megami Bridge is a bridge with double arch, and the appearance reflected in the water looks like glasses like the glasses bridge in Nagasaki. However, Nagasaki is "Megami Bridge", which is "Megami Bridge" ...

    Collaboration with flowers

    Original Text

Take a walk during the flower season. It was night, so it was lit up and I was able to enjoy a good walk with a fantastic atmosphere. It is usually a quiet place, but there are many spectators during the flower season.

    Historical arch

    Original Text

It is a stone arch built in the Edo period and is 19 meters long. The bridge was beautifully entwined with fences. Under the bridge is a population channel, and you can also get off under the bridge to the waterside.
