2020 also canceled the entry into the shrine of portable shrines, floats, and ships to Hachimangu Shrine
Original Text
Every year, it is a very grand and wonderful festival, but 2020 is a corona disaster, and the entrance to the palace of portable shrines, floats, and ships is canceled, and only the festival is held. It is very disappointing that it will continue to shrink after the typhoon disaster in 2019, but I expect it next year.
Yawatanmachi is 1 my favorite festival, but this year, the mikoshi, floats, and ships were all canceled due to the severe damage caused by the typhoon. 1 Since it is my favorite festival, the evaluation is 5.
It was a historic festival that has been around since the Heian period, and the appearance of floats heading to Tateyama Station was impressive and crowded with many people.
It is a festival that has continued since the end of the Heian period, and it seems that it has become like it is now over a long period of time. The portable shrines of many shrines, including Tsuruya Hachimangu, are magnificent.
The official name is "Awa Kokushi Matsuri Tsuruya Hachimangu Annual Festival". It is a festival with a history of more than 1,000 years, and is held every year around the middle of September and is crowded with many people.
