A day trip to Bifengxia, a brave venture to Ya'an by a female college student on the weekend! Transportation: 1. Self-driving: Depart from Chengdu, along the Chengya Expressway, about a 2-hour drive. 2. High-speed train + Bus: Take the high-speed train from Chengdu East Station to Ya'an Station, then transfer to a bus directly to Bifengxia. 3. Tourist bus: There are direct tourist buses to Bifengxia from major tourist distribution centers in Chengdu. Tickets: Book online in advance to enjoy discounts and avoid queuing on-site. 1. Adult ticket: 180 yuan, including the Wildlife World and Ecological Canyon. If you only go to the Ecological Canyon, it is 100 yuan. 2. Children/Elderly ticket: Half-price discount. 3. Panda Base: Some require a separate ticket purchase, it is recommended to book online in advance. Accommodation: 1. Hotels in the scenic area and homestays nearby are good choices. 2. Of course, if you want to stroll around the city, you can choose hotels in the city. We stayed at the Vienna International Hotel (Ya'an High-speed Train Station) Specific itinerary: We spent a morning at 8:00 to the high-speed train station and then ate at Zhong Yao Mei Snack Shop recommended by locals in the city, suggest trying the signature noodles~ After eating, you can take a yellow bike directly to the Bifengxia scenic area near the entrance of Hengbo Hospital. The yellow bike costs 6 yuan per person, and it departs when full. After arriving at the scenic area, you can buy tickets at the visitor center and also get a guide map. We first went to the right canyon, then visited the Panda Base. Then you can start enjoying the beautiful scenery. Panda Base: After coming out of the right canyon, go directly to the Bifeng Temple station and take the sightseeing bus to the Panda Base. There is also an internal sightseeing bus inside the Panda Base (this requires an additional ticket purchase of 20 yuan), which is highly recommended for those with children and those who do not wish to walk! After the visit, you can take the sightseeing bus back to the visitor center, where the Panda Restaurant is located! Finally, take the same yellow bike back to the city, but be aware that there are no more after 7:00, so watch the time!! Food: 1. You can go to the Panda Restaurant, which is super close, but we didn't make it because we were in a hurry. 2. You can eat at the food court, which has noodles, vermicelli, etc., very convenient! Photography: The right canyon is very beautiful all the way up, very photogenic, especially cool for taking pictures at the waterfall!!!!!! Tips: 1. It is recommended to bring some mosquito and insect repellent spray, as the ecological area is a small forest, and it is inevitable that there will be insects, and there may also be snakes, so be careful. 2. It is not recommended to carry a baby stroller, as the mountain roads are difficult to navigate!!! 3. Keep your tickets safe, as they are needed for taking the sightseeing bus and entering the Panda Base. If you accidentally lose your tickets, seek help from the staff in time, as the staff in the scenic area are super enthusiastic and responsible! 4. In the vicinity of Chengdu! | Fully Experience the Charm of the National Treasure. Bifengxia is located in the northern mountain valleys of Ya'an, a small city in Sichuan, composed of lush forests and spectacular gorges. The ecologically excellent scenic area includes two different types of tickets, with the wildlife park to the left of the main entrance and the Bifengxia Ecological Gorge to the right, where the pandas live. The Panda Base and the Bifengxia Ecological Gorge are within the same ticket range, a semi-independent attraction surrounded by natural gorges, affiliated with the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. Take the elevator down from the entrance of the gorge, then walk to the Panda Base from the right gorge for about 1 hour, or take a scenic area bus for only 10 minutes, with buses departing every 20 minutes or so. The place is not crowded and does not require queuing, making it a great spot to carefully appreciate the national treasure. 🌟Highlights: Following the visiting route after entering the base, the Panda Base can be divided into three major areas: White Panda Flat, Panda Kindergarten, and Returned Panda Paradise, with a total of more than 60 pandas in the base, and under normal circumstances, visitors can see 20 to 30 pandas. White Panda Flat is the first concentrated panda area, consisting of 8 sets of panda enclosures, with a wide view, but the distance from the fence to the panda activity area is relatively far. 👍Highly Recommended: Panda Kindergarten is located in the middle area of the base, with the panda nursery on one side. The indoor part is not open, but the viewing spots on both sides of the outdoor hill are very close to the pandas, making it ideal to watch the pandas eat during the bamboo feeding times.
