A little far from the castle.

    Original Text

Is it about 10 minutes walk east of Yamagata Station? It is a place where a part of the earthwork, which is a embankment, remains, built on soil. To be honest, I don't know if it's a remnant of the old castle if I can explain it, but it's quite a distance from the main enclosure and I understand the scale of the castle well.

    Shijiedi の Relic Structure

    Original Text

The ruins of Yamagata Castle were maintained as parks for Honmaru and Ninomaru, but Sannomaru has become a city area and has no remnants of those days. The only remains of earthworks are left near Utakake Inari Shrine. It is a valuable heritage though it is a space with thick embankment and overgrown trees.

    Imagine it.

    Original Text

Yamagata Castle is not there now, but you can expand your imagination from the site. Detailed explanations such as the development of Yoshimitsu Mogami and the layout map of the imagination range are detailed. There's nothing on the scene, but I thought it was real.

    Yamako の Sanの Maru's only の Relic

    Original Text

Yamagata Castle, a contour-style castle, consists of Honmaru, Ninomaru, and Sannomaru. The main enclosure and Ninomaru were maintained as Kashiro Park, but since the Meiji era, most of the moats and earthworks were destroyed and urbanized. This remains are more than 500 meters away from Yamagata Station, and it is well understood that Sannomaru of Yamagata Castle boasted a wide area of 1580 meters from east to west 1580 meters from north to south 2090 meters.

It has been designated as a cultural property as part of the ruins of Yamagata Castle.

    Original Text

The main enclosure and Ninomaru of Yamagata Castle are maintained as "Kashiro Park", but since the Meiji era, most moats and earthworks have been destroyed, and the only one that remains in the same way as those days is this Sannomaru earthworks site. By the way, you cannot climb the earthworks or enter the inside of the moat.
