this is my second time in lijiang and stayed in Dayan versus Shuhe. I had enough of beautiful shops and clothes shopping in the Ancient Village so the jade dragon tour wasn’t operating and the guy mentioned the wetlands lake so he drove me personally and it was stunning and beautiful like a bbq camp from the Hamptons or Rhode Island, it is not a place for kids activities, more for couples and photos with magnificent scenery and backgrounds to take photos and dozens and dozens of colorful roses. if your girl loves taking photos or you are with friends and dressed up in lijiang outfits…go! have fun taking scenic photos 👍😊

Lashi Lake is located in the middle of Lashi Dam, 10 kilometers west of Lijiang City, and is the first natural reserve in Yunnan Province named after "wetland", adjacent to the colorful rose base. "Lashi" is the ancient Naxi language translation, where "La" means barren dam and "Shi" means new, signifying a new barren dam. Lashi Lake was originally part of the ancient trough in northwest Yunnan. During the Mesozoic Yanshan movement, it was folded and uplifted into land, and by the Miocene, it became a quasi-plain. With the development of the orogeny of the Hengduan Mountains, by the end of the Pliocene to the beginning of the Pleistocene, this quasi-plain under the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was divided into three plateau intermountain basins with relative height differences of 100 to 200 meters, namely Lashi Dam, Lijiang Dam, and Qihai Dam.
