I thought Suzhou was already beautiful, until I went to Zhenjiang
It's more livable than Nanjing, more legendary than Yangzhou, this forgotten millennium-old city is excessively understated in its beauty! That's Zhenjiang! Spring is the perfect season to embark on a journey to Zhenjiang🌸

🌟Jinshan Temple
🎫: Off-season 50, peak season 65
A 5A-level scenic spot, the filming location of 'The Legend of the White Snake', the 'Golden Mountain' in 'Water Floods Golden Mountain' refers to this place! The temple is full of ancient trees and singing birds, set against yellow walls and black tiles, offering great visual appeal, with a high photo-taking success rate. There's also the official Jinshan coffee, which tastes decent

🌟Xijin Ferry Ancient Street
🎫: 🆓
A historical district, with a main street winding upwards, the foreground features the ancient city lights, and the background is adorned with mountainous temples and pavilions, exuding a sense of the past. Although the alley is not very large, the attractions within are worth stopping to visit. The Zhao Guan Stone Pagoda and Yuntai Pavilion are good for checking in. The downside is that it's very commercialized, and the commercial value for money is not high

🌟Zhenjiang Museum (Former British Consulate)
🎫: 🆓 Reservation required
Adjacent to Xijin Ferry Ancient Street, the museum has two exhibition halls, featuring bronze ware, gold and silver ware, and crafts. Admission is free, but reservations must be made in advance on 🍊. There might be street musicians playing outside the museum, which is quite romantic
-
🌟Beigu Mountain
🎫: 30
Steep and towering, standing on the north bank of the Yangtze River, Ganlu Temple is located here, but it's not the one from the story of Huanhuan. There are fewer tourists than at Jinshan, suitable for climbing and enjoying the panoramic view of Zhenjiang
-
🌟Jiangda Back Street Snack Street
🎫: 🆓
Gathering delicacies from all over, reminiscent of the college days, you can come here for the night market. I chose a few stalls with friends, none of which were disappointing, but they were also quite common, and the location is relatively remote
-
🌟Guanyin Bridge Alley
🎫: 🆓
This street has many beautiful shops, mostly coffee shops and simple meals. The reviews are mixed, so it's best to search for ratings before going
-
🚄About transportation: It's very close to Yangzhou, Nanjing, and Shanghai! An excellent choice for weekend trips! The attractions in Zhenjiang are mostly connected and close to each other, making it convenient to take the bus
-
🍜Food recommendation: Pot Cover Noodles (just pick any shop, they're all pretty good), Feiquan's buns
-
❌Avoid: Went to try the loin at the entrance of Yong'an Food Market because of its fame, but it felt very ordinary, not really worth a special trip

At a glance, the millennium ~ Zhenjiang Xijindu ⛲️ Xijindu was founded in the three countries. This is the Yangtze River Ferry, the traffic throat, and the only ferry to Jiangbei. Xijindu is different from other Jiangnan towns. There is no water here, full of blue stone roads and blue brick city walls. In the softness of the traditional Jiangnan town, it is harder and more unique. Today, Xijindu has downplayed the function of the ferry, strolling in the simple and elegant ancient streets, leisurely slow pace of life, very recommended.
The blue brick and gray tile houses are large, with slabs paving the road and antique. The different styles of shops also create a strong and elegant business atmosphere, which is really unique.
It's just a long blue stone-paved ancient street with various merchants on both sides. There are not many people who are quiet and very quiet, and it's good to stroll slowly. The current scenic spot is seriously commercialized regardless of the size of the nameless scenic spot, and it is not easy for people in the scenic spot to ask for life.
A very uncommercial ancient town, there are not many shops, and the popularity is really not strong. If you want to experience the feeling of Bao Ancient Town, then come to Xijindu! If it is not Friday, Saturday, plus rain, most stores will be closed at 5 or 6 pm, very deserted. If it doesn't rain on Friday and Saturday, there is a night market! We stayed for 3 days, 2 days rain, and the sun father-in-law finally went to work on the last day, and it felt much better. If you want to see the whole picture, you can climb halfway up the mountain, without climbing to Yuntai Pavilion. It's just mosquitoes that's quite a lot... a few pictures of the kung fu, two legs of the bag...
You can visit Jiaoshan, Jinshan and Beigushan scenic spots within a day, great value.
It is worth seeing, day and night have their own characteristics
