Busuanga Island

Busuanga Island, the larger of the Karamian archipelago, a rich fishing ground in the Philippines, has no beaches and is littered with half-built buildings and crumbling houses. Colon Town, the main town on Busuanga Island, is the commercial and population center of the entire Calamian Islands. Not only diving, snorkeling, island hopping, but also motocross rides are available on Busuanga Island. Out of the town of Colon, Busuanga Island is full of rural atmosphere. Part of the land has been used for farming and community building, and there is a bumpy dirt road that circles the island for a week. At least 10 sunken Japanese warships and merchant ships were found in the waters around Busuanga Island, such as the flying supply ship Akisushima, KogyoMaru, Irako, Tangat remains, OlympiaMaru, Lusong gunboat and TaeMaru. The wrecks found vary in shades of depth, so novices and veterans alike have a chance to shine. Wreck dives for beginners are Lusong and EastTangat, which have depths of only 9m and 22m respectively.
