The Rockefeller Chapel was named after the famous tycoon, and is the tallest building on the University of Chicago campus. With a Guastavino-tile ceiling, massive organ pipe and carved oak seating, the atmosphere is ideal for a graduation ceremony or a production of Handel's Messiah, which the University of Chicago Motet Choir has performed every year for more than 50 years. Weddings are also performed at the chapel.

Rockefeller's idea is to gather people of different religious beliefs in a traditional church. There are hardly any religious symbols in the church. There are no saints, crosses or other religious symbols. There are only one or two very miniature building details. They are very ancient churches. The religious activities here are always welcomed by other religions and non-believers. It's worth visiting. The buildings are really beautiful.
An integral part of the University of Chicago campus, only a Rockefeller would describe this building as a "chapel." With its impressive outside architecture and a beautiful interior the university uses it for graduations and other events in addition to worship services.
That slender gothic tower contains 72 bells=78 tons. Climb to the top. Experience heaven in the midst of a tremendous & joyous din. Wow. Check schedule.
Absolutely Beautiful. A must visit place. Even better if you can actually attend an event there. Lots of history in a small building.
A good Memorial Church man. Not many people have a piano in it. It seems that if you can talk about it easily, the piano sound in a local church is very good. I didn't think it's still a Steinway.
Beautiful architecture and incredible historic organ.
Rockefeller Memorial is a memorial to the founder of Mobil Oil and the famous industrialist Rockefeller, which shows his struggle history.
The Rockefeller Memorial Hall is an exhibition hall for famous oil companies. It is free to visit and learn about the development of the Rockefeller Oil Family.
