"If you don't want to stay in a hostel with shared bathrooms, this is a great place to stay in Kazungula! It's clean, with hot showers, and the rooms are cozy. The owner, Mr. H, is German (or of German descent) and very friendly. He offers tons of travel advice, just like a friend, so you don't have to worry about being in an unfamiliar area. While the location is a little tricky to find, the owner will provide directions. I took a taxi from the Zambian border, which cost about 100 Pula."

Kwalape Safari Lodge

"The best thing about Kwalape is the 15 minute proximity to the park and the river. Its in a lovely location with lots of birds and the rooms are ok. Food is buffet and is just ok. Our first night we ate outside which was much nicer than indoor on the second. A local African dance and music troupe put on an amazing, fabulous show for everyone on the second night."

"My family and I spent three adventorous days at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge and made memories that will last a lifetime! We were touched by how kind the staff were to our children, aged 7 and 12. Nothing was too much trouble for Cassius, our host and Robert, our personal guide. The food was abundant and delicious, the tents were well-equipped and there were lots of activities to choose from. My youngest son caught two tiger fish, thanks to Robert who expertly guided us to the best fishing spots. My eldest child enjoyed visiting the local village, learning about the islanders culture and visiting an ancient Boabab tree. They especially loved watching a Hammerkop bird make it’s nest from the deck of our tent. My wife and I enjoyed spending time with our children, whilst being surrounded by breathtaking scenery on the Chobe river. We combined our stay with a few nights on a Chobe Princess houseboat. It is a holiday we will never forget and can highly recommend for families."

River View Lodge

"We loved River View Lodge beyond expectation. An incredibly customer-oriented staff showed us our room (little house), that combined atmosphere and practicality. Everything was so well thought of: electrical plugs, storage for bathroom necessities, etc. Already the first evening we saw hippos and warthogs behind the fence, right in front of our terrace. River View Lodge is a place we definitely want to revisit!"

Muchenje Safari Lodge

"Cool safari lodge in Chobe with easy and quick access to the national park for an exciting and unbelievable safari experience. The property is decent with the main lodge accommodating everyone's meals and drinks in a comfortable environment. Family-style seating area where all guests sit together for their meals vs sitting in small tables of 2 and 4. The rooms/villas are decent with mosquito nets, aircon and plenty of room to unpack if you feel the need to properly settle in. The bathroom is part of the villa and is located behind the bedroom but is not a completely separate room so privacy is a little reduced. Rooms are supplied with walkie-talkies so you can always contact the main lodge if you need anything specific or an emergency. The pool adds a little extra holiday feel where you can swim and over-look the savanna down below. Be prepared for the water to be a little on the cold side but this is quite welcome in the heat of the day. The twice (sometimes) three-times a day safari drives are fantastic. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and make the whole experience worthwhile. You should never expect to see wildlife during a safari, however, we went on 6 game drives and saw pretty much everything available from Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Water Buffalo, Monkeys, Impalas, Zebras and many many many more."
