"If you don't want to stay in a hostel with shared bathrooms, this is a great place to stay in Kazungula! It's clean, with hot showers, and the rooms are cozy. The owner, Mr. H, is German (or of German descent) and very friendly. He offers tons of travel advice, just like a friend, so you don't have to worry about being in an unfamiliar area. While the location is a little tricky to find, the owner will provide directions. I took a taxi from the Zambian border, which cost about 100 Pula."

"This is a very good hotel with complete facilities, cleanliness, and a large bathroom. It not only has a shower room, but also a large bathtub, which is very convenient for bathing. The staff in the store are also very friendly and make people feel like home. The only drawback is that it is far from the center of the city."

Kwalape Safari Lodge

"Nice, upgrade to a room from our tent so big bonus. Nice balcony overlooking lush greenery, comfy bed and good bathroom. Breakfast was okay. The pool looked great but closed early as it right by the bar... Why oh why?! We did a boat tour in the avo which was fantastic!"

Ichingo Chobe River Lodge by Mantis

"A wonderful experience. I went to Ichingo to primarily fish for Tiger Fish. Robert my guide worked tirelessly to ensure that I came away with an amazing fishing experience. Robert is so knowledgeable but not only on fishing, but on wildlife and bird life. I learnt about different bird species as we were fishing. The fishing was hard, but rewarding and I cam away with a few good sized Tigers. Robert is a thorough gentleman. At the lodge Rector and Cassius run a first class experience. The food was lovely - for example kingklip cooked to perfection, with starters and dessert. They were so generous that I had to ask them to prepare less for me at lunch time because I could not manage 3 big delicious meals each day.. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and kind. I travelled by myself but at no time did i feel lonely - I was made to feel at home. The bungalow was a luxury tent right on the rapids so I went to sleep each night with the sound of the rapids. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a unique game viewing experience from a boat, or excellent fishing to go to this lovely lodge."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation is extremely clean and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10am in the morning and they let us check in as our room was ready, really super customer service that we were so grateful for. All the grounds are absolutely immaculate. The staff organised a Sunset river cruise, it was fantastic and a must do. We had dinner at the lodge which was 3 course, it was delicious and very good value for money. I would highly recommend The River view lodge to future guests and look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"Approximately an hours drive from Kasane airport lies Muchenje Lodge providing a tantalising opportunity to glimpse some of the wildlife hidden with the Chobe National Park as you drive to the lodge. We arrived at what has been a long drought and at first glance you would be mistaken for thinking you had landed in an arid and barren desert. First impressions are quickly replaced by moments of awe as you share the stark beauty of nature that included remarkable variety of wildlife, including the rare brown hyena, sable and roan antelope. Elephants however deserve a special mention, these incredible creatures dominate and we must have seen at least 300 in and around the river! G-Bee, our driver and guide did an excellent job of satisfying the needs of long term safari enthusiasts in very challenging conditions. Lodge chalets include fantastic bathroom facilities and large comfortable beds with every amenity you could need. We found the sitting area rather cramped but as we were rarely in the chalet this minor detail did not impact on our enjoyment. Dining is communal which is somewhat constraining in terms of timing of meals. Our personal preference is to have a choice to dine alone or with others, particularly after long hot days, this being our only significant gripe. The staff are wonderfully warm, friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate individual needs. Our sincere thanks to Evelyn and her team for including us in the Independence Day celebrations on 30Sep2024, it was the perfect end to our brief stay."
