Photos of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial

Yat-Sen Memorial Hall was designed by the renowned architect Lu Yan in the same style as the Nanjing Zhongshan Mausoleum , built in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. The main building is an enormous, octagonal palace-style building topped with the words, "The World Belongs to the People" penned by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen himself. Inside is a brief introduction to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen himself. The square adjacent to the hall features a large statue of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. The Yat-Sen Memorial Hall has witnessed several major events in the history of Guangzhou and is currently an important site for various performances.
