It was originally the former site of the Xijiao Coal Mine in Guangzhou. In 2004, Liwan District converted it into an ecological park covering an area of 31180 square meters.
A small park, a abandoned railway, close to Nanhai Middle School, about two or three minutes walk from Exit C of the West Field Metro! There are sculptures from various periods of Master Yuan! Walk slowly for about ten minutes!
The big stone at the entrance of Xijiao Ecological Park has a lettering: Yuan Jichang Sculpture Park.
