Welcome to the historic site No. 288: the Jeondong Catholic Church in Jeonju city. Not only korean style buildings are registered as historic sites in the Korean Peninsula, but also western style buildings like this one. This is the first Romanesque building in the Hoban region and was built to honor the Roman Catholic martyrs who lost their lives during the Joseon Dynasty.
