Guanghua Street starts from Zhengyi Road in the east and Longjing Street in the west. The section from Zhengyi Road to Yunrui Park is called Dongyuan Street because it is adjacent to the East Courtyard of the Governor's Yamen (now the site of Shengli Church); the section from Longjing Street to Yunrui Park is called the Yuanmen Gate because it is west of the Yuanmen of the Governor's Mansion. After the 1911 Revolution of 1911, the two sections were collectively called Guanghua Street. Among the remaining historical and cultural blocks in old Kunming, Guanghua Street is a bustling old street like Jingxing Street, and it is always crowded every weekend. Go to Yunrui Park to walk birds, sell birds, buy birds, buy and sell pets, flowers and plants, Taobao, just pass by to see the folk customs of old Kunming. From one end of Yunnan Art Theater, walk east along Shiban Road, and after crossing Longjing Street, it is Guanghua Street. From the entrance to the west end to Yunrui Park, in the two-story civil structure house on the right, the shops on the first floor mostly sell clothing, and some specialize in police equipment. There are also various other products for sale. On the left is the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and there are some remnants of old Kunming buildings in the interval. Near Yunrui Park, the left side is the Victory Memorial Hall and Yunrui East and West Road, and the right side is Yunrui Park. Outside the park is a place for buying and selling pets in the main urban area. Most of the pets are dogs. Entering Yunrui Park, it is a free trading place for birds and related gatherings. On the side of Yongdao Street, there are mostly stalls selling antiques, flowers and plants on the spot. From Yunrui Park to Zhengyi Road, there are mainly shops for eating and making billboards. The Fulintang store, a well-known medical family in the history of old Kunming, is located at the intersection of this section with Wenming Street and Wenmiaozhi Street. Every weekend, women's tonics are prepared on-site at the storefront.
Guanghua Street is the oldest street in Kunming. For a hundred years, it has become a historical marker of modern old Kunming with its unique geographical location and humanistic atmosphere. The old houses on the street have made Guanghua Street a microcosm of the changes in modern Kunming city.
The most famous on this street is the two "wine glass buildings" in front of the Memorial Hall of the Victory of the Resistance Against Japan. Now it is a place for net reds to take pictures and punch in. Going further, the houses on both sides of the street are antique and there are many gourmet shops.
A very charming old street, people coming and going on the street, eating a large charcoal fire, a bowl of authentic Yunnan bridge rice noodles is enough to warm the stomach of the dust.
