Jinhu Square, formerly known as Wuxiang Square, is located in the middle section of Nanning Minzu Avenue and is a landmark square in Nanning. There are five elephant sculptures in Jinhu Square and the "Five Elephants Fountain" around it, which are the coordinates of the square, and the beautiful environment of the square also makes it a good place for walking and leisure in the city. Nanning has been known as the Elephant City since ancient times. There are many legends about elephants circulating among the common people. The most famous one is the legend of Wuxiangling. The inspiration for the design of the five elephant sculptures in Jinhu Square comes from this legend of Wuxiangling.
