Magong Island is known as the island of leisurely fishermen, including Penghu Island, Zhongtun Island, Baisha Island and Xiyu (also known as Yuweng Island). In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Magong City was an important trade center between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Today, it is still the administrative center of Penghu County. After hundreds of years, it has left many legendary stories and historic buildings.
