Brooklyn Bridge Review

This is a classic vacation activity for an afternoon in NYC. Take the subway to DUMBO in Brooklyn for iconic photo ops before walking across the bridge into Manhattan.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a cable suspension bridge in New York City, crossing the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. It open in 1883 and at the time was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Now it is a historic landmark and you can learn about the history whilst crossing the bridge. Vehicles and bicycles also cross the bridge in lanes under the pedestrian crossing. You can get to the bridge by ferry to DUMBO or from the Manhattan side by metro to City Hall.

How can you miss the important bridge linking Manhattan and Brooklyn to New York? You don't have to go up from the end of the bridge and up the bottom there are bridge trails that you can walk up at any time, but don't go silly and walk a long way to arrive! If you are too lazy to walk, take the MRT. You can see the bridge soon after you leave the MRT station. There are many small merchants selling souvenirs along the way. It is recommended to compare more, because the key ring of a dollar is sometimes a price of $10 or one or two more! A very nice walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan. There are some good restaurants on the Brooklyn side of the bridge when you get off.
