Ningbo Mosque Review

Yuehu Mosque is the only mosque in eastern Zhejiang Province. It is located in Xihouying Lane beside Yuehu Lake. It is also the seat of Ningbo Muslim Association. Yuehu Mosque was built in 1699. With the change of history and culture, it has been moved three times. It follows the symmetrical pattern of other mosques in China, with buildings facing east-west and facing the holy city of Mecca on the back. The layout of the building is clear, the line is concise and clear, the layout of the hall is convex, decorated with Koran scriptures, and the temple is also decorated with gardens and other buildings. Flowers and plants are fragrant and trees are flourishing, which also reflects the layout characteristics of traditional gardens. Went in early summer 2018 to catch up with Lemezana month. Men knelt in the front hall, women in the main hall. The table was full of watermelons and dinner.
