Nyhavn is one of my favorite areas of Copenhagen, particular on an afternoon or early evening of leisure, when there's still light enough to get the feel of harborfront. The place has a the feel of an old world port with sailors from afar docking right up to shopfronts and nautical restaurants. In reality, the waterfront street is home to numerous cozy pubs and inviting pub-like seafood restaurants. I was there near Christmas, when everything was adorned with the lights and evergreen trappings of the season. Escaping the brisk December air for a steaming hot glass of "glog" is an exercise in extreme pleasure for the senses. I was in Copenhagen on business, so didn't get to spend quite as much time around here as I would have liked, but it's an area I'd be most likely to beeline too on my next visit!
