Oedolgae Rock Review

The lonely rock sitting at the South of Jeju Island, formed 1.5million years ago.

So we woke up early and went to Oedolgae a famous tourist spot to see this stack. It is only 150m from the main road and parking, the water is very clear and green and blue and the rock is quite magnificent. You can't really go and swim though.

Go down from the JW Marriott Hotel, go down to the plank road after the colored stone sculpture, turn left and walk along the plank road, 10-15 minutes to the independent rock. The special landform formed by lava produced by the volcano during the eruption 1.5 million years ago, and the 20-meter-high column stands independently on the sea near the coast, which is very special, no wonder it is called independent rock. I heard that it was decorated as a general before the war to scare off the enemy, so it also has a name called General Stone. The sea is blue and the scenery is very good when the weather is good. The Korean TV drama "Dachang Jin" used to be filmed here. There is a large poster board painting the drama of Dachang Jin, just on the edge of the plank road. Going for the Dragon Boat Festival, walking along the beach is very hot and sun-drenched. Attractions are free and worth seeing.

A small walk in coastal park to witness the lonely rock standing in water, it has history associated with war when Koreans dressed this rock as gigantic warrior to bluff the enemy and trick them into inferiority.

The second stop to Jizhou Island in February 17 was Independent Rock. Not far from the hotel, the morning Independent Rock looks different from the previous one. Independent Rock is actually a stone, also known as General Rock, which is a free attraction. Many tourists from home and abroad, as well as local Koreans, will go there to play. Independent Rock leans against the Pacific Ocean. In the morning, there is an endless sea, and in the evening, there is a sunset setting to the west. If we go to Jeju Island again, we will go there again.
