Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau Review

Built in 1902, this pink hospital is the work of renowned architect Montanel. It is as exquisite as any palace, and the pink interior and ceiling have no cold feeling of the hospital. It looks very warm.

Beautiful hospital! Embodies humanistic care, so that patients can enjoy their body and mind, and restore their health as soon as possible. The whole building is a pink series, and there are orange trees full of oranges on the middle lawn, which is very beautiful!

I didn't expect the hospital to be built so exquisite and beautiful. Every corner of this hospital reflects the charm of the designer. Amazing! Completely subvert the image of our imagined hospital of Chinese medicine! Super like!

The pink hospital is about 700 meters away from the Sagrada Familia. You can see the Sagrada Familia directly from the window of the hospital.

This hospital museum is near the Sagrada Familia. It’s massive and contains some impressive and very educational exhibits on the history of the complex.

I met a couple on a food tour in Barcelona who recommended visiting the hospital museum Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau. I’m glad I did - it’s not an attraction that pops into mind when people mention Barcelona, but this massive hospital complex turned museum has impressive architecture, mosaics, gardens, and historical exhibits to keep you preoccupied for several hours. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site, but there were not too many people when I visited because it is not as well known as the other tourist sites in Barcelona.#solotravel#spain#barcelona#museum#unesco
