We saw a performance of Wozzeck at Teatro all Scala. The venue is jaw droopingly beautiful. If you're attending an opera performance in Milan, dress up (nylons, a black skirt, dressy top and nice heels will do for the ladies), but don't show up wearing a ball gown unless it's opening night!

You don't need to be an Opera expert to enjoy the best Opera Theatre in the world. If you can't find a ticket for a performance, at least visit the Museum. A real gem

A must do while you're there, L'opera is part of the cultural historical patrimoine of Italy. You must book your tickets EARLY !!

Inaugurated in 1778 and best known as an opera house, Teatro all Scala also presents ballet and other musical performances. Tickets are pricey but its an unforgettable experience to listen to a performance within its dazzling interior.
