Impressive villa with some erotic frescoes and some interesting markings from the German occupation on the wall. We had a private tour so I am not sure what the public one entails, but I can't imagine it would be disappointing. The art is wonderful.

The Villa Farnasina is very important in Roman history because it represents the first example of a Roman Renaissance villa, from which many others have been inspired. Originally built by Florentine banker I, Michelangelo designed a connection between the villa and the Fanasi Square.

Renaissance villas have been half a thousand years away. Most of the works of art here are murals. Frescoes depicting religious characteristics often cover four walls. The tiles below also have many colors, but they are mainly square. In addition to murals, the collection of decorations is also exquisite here.
