I have eaten at top restaurants around the world and the chef at this restaurant knows what he is doing! The decor is a little dated but the food is on point. Our server was attentive and courteous. He apologized that one item we ordered might take a bit longer than expected as its usually only served at dinner and we were there at lunch so they made it by special request. They offered us complimentary local cheese and bread and other items while we waited. But it was totally worth the wait. The food came out perfect and delicious. One person in our group ordered spaghetti (they were not in the mood for Peruvian food like the rest of us) and yet said it was one of the best she had ever had. The pasta was perfect al dente and you could taste the depth of red wine and slow cooking in the sauce. It was so good she offered a taste to others at the table to share how wonderful it was. We don't know if it's the same chef every day. But we were certainly happy with our experience and recommended it to other tourists in our group.
