Just had drinks here before dinner. The pub has a great feel about it. They have a good selection of craft beers and wines, they also serve some interested bar snacks, pork pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls. Only disappointment was they do not serve any non-alcoholic beers - one of the group cannot drink for medical reasons. They are open early and offer a breakfast menu. The full menu and restaurant looks interesting too. Need to visit again to try the food.

    4/5Excellent

Loved the appetizers. Very English. Lotsa fish. Too yummy. The waitress was very awesome. We loved it. Tons of food. It felt to us (Americans) as very British....so we had a nice time there (it's above a pub as well - cool place).

    1/5Terrible

Went to the Bull and Hide pub with my son today, for a snack and a drink. We ordered two of their ‘hot salt beef sandwiches on rye’ and a side of their ‘skin on chips’ to share. After waiting for quite a long time, our food arrived. I am now going to describe the ‘hot salt beef sandwich’: A slice of whole meal bread, toasted, probably to disguise the staleness of the bread; toped up with some scraps of very dry, leathery meat, with a drizzle of mustard on top. Garnish of stale crisps and tired, soggy salad leaves. The chips: I can’t be bothered to describe them… I have eaten better chips at McDonalds. Probably the worst sandwich we have eaten in a long time. We were quite hungry, because we had been to see an exhibition at the Barbican and we had had only a cup of tea for breakfast, otherwise I think we would have walked out. Indifferent service.
