Hurrying to the night of Rome, the Colosseum and the Basilica of Santa Maria all flashed past, as if they symbolized the civilization and glory of the ancient Roman Empire. History needs to be marked, just like these leftover buildings.More
One of my favorite places to visit in Rome is the Colosseum. Book tickets in advance so your wait time is not as long, because it is always crowded. The tour of the underground areas is limited in numbers, but is worth the extra expense. A good tour guide really explains the meaning of what you are seeing and adds to the experience. My children enjoyed this attraction as much as the adults. Sometimes there are discounts for students if you have a student ID.
For some one who has never seen Rome, It is hard to believe how beautiful life can be ⛪️❤️
one of the New7Wonders of the World. It is one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions and also has links to the Roman Catholic Church, as each Good Friday the Pope leads a torchlit "Way of the Cross" procession that starts in the area around the Colosseum.
It's one if the iconic buildings in Rome. It takes yiu back to thousands years if Roman history and heritage. Colosseum tour along with Roman Forum and Platine Hill is good starting point to immerse yourself in the city's heritage. It can get crowded so uts best to take a private tour which are available in plenty. It involves lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes.
