What people are saying:

The Government Gardens, located in the center of Rotorua, is Rotorua's most eye-catching landmark. Elegant and atmospheric building. Deep in the large lawn of the garden is the Rotorua Museum of History and Art. Built in 1908, the building has a spire with red tiles and yellow walls. The floor is not high and the width is very wide. It combines Tudor architectural style and Victorian architectural style. The buildings with great architectural aesthetics, close-up and distant view, left and right shot, are all beautiful photos. Quiet and beautiful garden. The wide lawn, green grass, surrounded by benches; the quiet garden, blooming flowers, hidden in the depths of delicate buildings and sculptures. Citizens and tourists, some are strolling, some are in a daze, and some are clocking in.

    POPULAR TOURIST ATTRACTION.

Beautiful Government Gardens is a public park, located beside Lake Rotorua. It is a major tourist attraction.

Lovely quiet location in bustling Rotorua

Great Maori sculptures/carvings, interestingly-engineered gates, olde worlde style building very picturesque, well looked after gardens & pond. Well worth a stroll.

    Lovely grounds

The Government Gardens are worth a visit - nice and peaceful with people playing croquet on the greens. A shame that the cafe and museum were under renovation when we visited.

Lovely place to visit/go for a walk

The Government Gardens are always well maintained. Great place to go for a walk by the Museum, Blue Baths, Rose Gardens. There are bowling greens, and more. Nice path up the centre of the gardens lo...
