Located in Hebei District. It is the most prosperous temple in Tianjin. The Su Zhai in the Great Compassionate has always been well-known for turning soy products into magic, making them delicious dishes. It was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, and the spiritual bones of Master Tang Seng Xuanzang were enshrined in the courtyard. The original cypress carved statue of Avalokitesvara in the temple was destroyed in the "decade of turmoil"; now there is a 3.6-meter-high and 4-meter-wide golden statue of Avalokitesvara in the apse, which was made in modern times.
