Taizhou City Museum is a comprehensive museum that mainly collects historical relics. There are many collections of ancient paintings and calligraphy, including Lu Ji, a court painter in the Ming Dynasty, Lan Ying, the founder of the martial arts school, Dong Qichang, Wen Zhengming, Zhang Chong, Tang Zhiqi, Xie Shichen, Wu Bin, Cheng Sheng, Zhang Feng and a group of well-known painters in the Ming Dynasty. Works: other works such as Zhu Da (Bada Shanren), Shi Tao, Yun Nantian, Fei Danxu, Lianxi of the Qing Dynasty, Zheng Banqiao, Huang Shen, Li Jie, Wang Shishen, etc. of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, Cai Ze of the Jinling School of Painting, etc. There are also good collections of works by famous calligraphers and painters such as Liu Yong, Lin Zexu, Tie Bao, Li Hongzhang and other famous calligraphers and painters in modern times such as Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Chen Shizeng and Yu Youren. The Ming Dynasty costumes in the collection are relatively concentrated and well-preserved Ming Dynasty civilian textiles in China, especially silk fabrics. They represent the better civilian clothing in the mid-Ming Dynasty. In the collection of ceramics, there are many fine works of celadon of the Six Dynasties and porcelain of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
