Luohou Temple

Luoyu Temple, located in Wutaishan Scenic Area, Taihuai Town, Wutai County, Zhangzhou City, Shanxi Province, is the earliest communication center of the Tanzong, one of the ten Huang Temples and one of the five Zen places in Wutai Mountain. Luoyu Temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty, rebuilt in Ming Dynasty for five years (1492), and rebuilt many times in the Qing Dynasty. Luoyu Temple covers an area of more than 15,000 square meters, with 18 rooms such as Shanmen, Temple of Heavenly Kings, Bell and Drum Tower, Wenshu Temple, Daxiong Palace, Peidian Temple, Back Hall, Tibetan Jing Pavilion, Hall Building, Corridor House. A pair of stone lions in front of the mountain gate are stone carvings of the Tang Dynasty. The Tibetan brick tower on the left side of the mountain gate is called Wenshu Tower, and the tower is carved with Wenshu statue. The main statue in the temple of Luoqian has a distinct lama style.

Luoyu Temple is built on the roadside leading to Xiantong Temple and Bodhisattva, one of the five Zen places in Wutai Mountain.
