About Yiyang: Yiyang is situated in the north of Hunan on the southern side of Dongting Lake. It is known as the 'badminton capital' of China, as the Chinese national team train here. Popular attractions include Bailu Temple, which is located on the slopes of Bailu Mountain. According to legend, the temple was built in memory of the Tang dynasty calligrapher Pei Lin, who used to recite the Buddhist scriptures here. Other destinations include Taohua Lake, which is home to the Ziku Dam, caves and spectacular rock formations.
