Dichi Lake

The earth pool is located in the city of Aershan, Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is a lake formed by the accumulation of water from the crater formed in the later fall of the lava lake. It formed in the late Pleistocene (about 100,000 years ago). The lake is surrounded by dense and hard basalt, named for its water below the ground. The earth pool is located 6 kilometers southeast of Aershan Tianchi, 5 kilometers away from the Tianchi Forest Farm, 1123 meters above sea level, the overall shape is elliptical, the long axis is north to east, about 150 meters long, about 100 meters wide, the area is about 1.25 public tilt, the depth can reach 39￣ 50 meters. The earth pool is a volcanic lake formed by the cooling contraction of the lava, depression, because it is lower than the relative plane, so the name of the earth pool. Dichi is the only depression-type lake below the surface of many volcanic lakes in Arshan. It belongs to the typical Mar Lake. This form of crater lake has not been found in other parts of China. Its uniqueness and rarity have great research value. The shore of the earth pool is steeply standing block basalt, the bottom of the pool changes with the season, like a blue moon treasure mirror inlaid in the dense primary secondary forest, the scenery is very beautiful, people call it "fairy pool".
