Gu Yanwu Cemetery

Gu Yanwu's purpose is located behind Gu Yanwu's former residence, next to the picturesque Guyuan, composed of Tinglin Temple and cemetery. The bronze statues and furnishings of Gu Yanwu reflect Gu Yanwu's influence and fame, and the stone monuments on the cemetery also reflect the admiration of future generations.

Gu Yanwu was a scholar at the end of the Ming and early Qing Dynasty, and was a man from Qiandeng Ancient Town in Kunshan, Jiangsu. Gu Yanwu died of illness in Quwo, Shanxi, and his family buried him in the former residence of Qiandeng in the ancestral grave. There was a temple in front of his tomb, but it was seriously damaged in the Cultural Revolution. It was repaired by the local government.
