Big Heavenly Pool

Datianchi, located in the top of Tianchi Mountain, northwest of Lushan Mountain, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, the pool is rectangular, the pool water is blue, the light is like jade; the pool was originally a release pool in Tianchi Temple, and Tianchi Temple is the oldest monastery on the top of Lushan Mountain. The danger of Longshou Cliff, the cloud of Lingxu Pavilion, and the Buddha Light of Wenshutai are called the "three absolutes" of the big Tianchi.

Datianchi is on the west line of Lushan sightseeing bus. The penultimate stop is the flat road. The entrance is basically a flat slope. There is a fork in the middle of the mountain. 大天池是山上人文景观较多的一处，非常值得来，依次为圆通殿，天池塔，天心台，照江崖，文殊台，斗姆亭及天池寺和大天池，龙首崖。人文部分，有王阳明的照江题刻以及汪精卫为之造的碑亭，斗姆亭和天池塔文殊台为民国原址重建。大天池终年水不干涸，据说是文殊菩萨神力所至。龙首崖有非常不错的自然景观，较之附近花径和仙人洞的嘈杂，这里是一处幽静的怀古赏景的所在。

所谓大天池只是两处从不干涸的泉水池，可能有的人会失望，但我倒是对这个景点情有独钟。此处僻静人少，绿树成荫，更有天池寺遗址和园佛殿这样的人文景观，处处透露着时间的痕迹。如果时间充裕能停下脚步歇一歇，感受历史的存在，实在是好的选择。

这个名字太糊人，跑到那里才知道就是一个寺院前的放生池，不过寺院周围的景色还是不错的。
