If you are nearby, okay to stop for a bit
During our drive around, we decided to stop at Murray Lagoon. There are many birds here but you do need binoculars from the Bald Hill Lookout to really see them (otherwise they look like specks).
Murray lagoon camp-site looks nice, gas kitchen shelter & toilets, but lacks signage on where to go from there. Early April lacks water near camp. Take the timber Creek or bald Hill walks back up the...
We reached the lagoon after a pleasant walk through the trees. There was an amazing range of birds there, even though March is not the ideal time to visit.
You can start this walk from Bald Hill or finish up there. It's a relatively easy and flat 11km return hike. (There and back on the same track). Or you can do a bit of the walk at both ends as there ...
