Name: 1886 German Car Restaurant (1886德国汽车餐厅) Location: XinJiekou North The food is good. It's not very authentic German food tough, I would call it German style food or just a mixture of good German food. It's very meaty, so not the best choice for vegetarians. Prices are moderate till high. We didn't try the drinks tough. The atmosphere is "car theme", even some car modells from German and Italian cars are hanging on the wall. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. Our server was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the durian toast which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Xinjiekou is the heart of Nanjing City . The night view is amazing. Full of surprises. Beneath the Xinjiekou you can find the world longest underground Metro station. The street life is hidden under the Xinjiekou underground market. Anyone who visits must go to that underground streets to enjoy the street life . There are tons of photographic locations for every age group . Clean & safe city centre . Nanjing police bureau is monitoring Xinjiekou for 24/7 ,so no need to worry.
