Tangjiahe Nature Reserve is located in Qingchuan County on the northwest edge of the Sichuan Basin. It is located on the south side of the Motian Ridge on the northwest side of Longmen Mountain. Vegetation has a typical vertical distribution. There are 310 species of vertebrates, among which the national key protected wild animals include giant pandas [2], golden monkeys, takin,Green-tailed Pheasant, blue-eared pheasant,golden pheasantThere are 25 kinds of them, which are extremely rare. Among birds, thrushes living in shrubs have the largest number and species, with a total of 17 species.

There are a large number of giant pandas in the area and they are concentrated. At the same time, the area is also an important transit point for migratory birds migrating from the temperate zone to the tropics, which is also rare in our country. Therefore, Tangjiahe Nature Reserve has important protection, scientific research, education and ecological value.

Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve is located in the high mountains and deep valleys of the Minshan Mountains on the edge of the southwest basin. From June to July, flowers bloom in the river valley, bees and butterflies fly, wildebeest return to virgin forests and alpine meadows, and golden monkeys move to high-altitude coniferous forests. In August, black bears move down to river valleys to feed on fruits. Autumn arrives in September, the leaves turn red, and after January, the autumn colors are extremely intense. In mid-October, the leaves fall and snow falls in the mountains. In mid-December, heavy snow falls and black bears enter hibernation. However, giant pandas wander around the hillsides throughout the winter to feed on frozen arrow bamboo.

Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve is rich in cultural landscapes and has many pass fortresses, which are easy to defend but difficult to attack. It has been a battleground for military strategists of all ages. During the Three Kingdoms period, this was the place where the Shu Kingdom garrisoned troops and fortified its troops. Wei general Deng Ai "wrapped himself in felt and descended" to destroy all the places Shu passed through. During the Ming Dynasty, Ming general Fu Youde followed Deng Ai's example and destroyed Xia in this way. There are many historical sites and legends on the Yinping Ancient Road, including Motian Ridge, Beixiong Pass, Kongming Monument, Writing Cliff, Whetstone, Tiger Pan Stone, Luoyigou, Luoyi Bridge, Red Army Bridge and many other historic sites.
