HSBC Bank Building

The exterior of Pudong Development Bank is so stout and grand. The Bank is so smart and the exterior wall and architectural was so impressive. Really iconic!

In the Universal Buildings on the Bund of Shanghai, the original HSBC Building should be regarded as a building with a high gold content. Walking by the building, my fingers touched the stones that were infiltrated in the years, and my fingertips were cool. I sighed that only stones were eternal.

In 1921, when HSBC built the building on the Bund, it ordered two Western-style bronze lions from the UK, and planned to be placed in front of the main entrance of the building as Banktown beasts. The two bronze lions opened one named Stefan, which was the name of the general manager of HSBC Hong Kong branch, and the closed one named Shidi, the general manager of Shanghai branch. The designer was British artist Henry Pusa, the sculptor was Wesda, and the foundry was Zhou Yanxiang. Now the lion has become a highlight of the museum's many exhibits.
