Water Channel

Shuizhen is a characteristic landscape of the ancient village of the ancient town of Jixian County, especially the Hongcun Shuizhen. Hongcun Shuizhen was built in the Mingyongle years, and has a history of more than 600 years and a total length of more than 1200 meters. Bypassing every household, the water is constantly clear all year round. Water Zhen Jiuqu Ten Bay, through the house, through the moon marsh, finally injected into the South Lake, out of the South Lake.

The most distinctive feature of Hongcun is water, and the water snail is indispensable. The water snail is actually a complete set of water conservancy facilities. From the water intake, to the waterways throughout the village, these waterways have underground and open air, making full use of the natural flow of the terrain, forming two beautiful water scenes of the moon marsh and the South Lake. Every household can use the convenience brought by the water town, which is the ancient tap water.

It is around Hongcun, every family doorway and wall of the water canal, the lake through these channels through the door, this can be used in life, can also be used for fire prevention, in case of which fire, you can get water to extinguish the fire, the wisdom of the ancients is still possible.

I don't know the water canal in Hongcun. I saw the sign in front of Chengzhitang and knew that the water canal is a channel. It flows through the door of each villager's house, solves the villagers' drinking water, and also has fire prevention and washing functions. Water sagna belongs to the launch shape, introduced from the upper first stream river, flow path family households, finally into the South Lake, back into the stream. Because Hongcun is a cattle-shaped village, water sagna is also called cattle intestines.

The ancestors of Hongcun built a stone dam across the Jiyang River outside the western village, built a canal with stones, used the gap to introduce the water to the wood, and then used the stone to cut people to build a 60 cm wide, more than 400 meters long water canal, and walked around the houses. Into the "moon marsh" and through it again, it goes around the houses and flows into the South Lake. The water town from the South Lake and then flows out of the river, forming a virtuous cycle of living water system, and the winding "cow intestines" lie in the cattle body of Hongcun.
