Candle Rock

A rock isolated in the sea

Only worth going if you are driving along the shore line to see a few other things. You cannot access the rock - it’s way out in the sea. You can make a quick stop and take picture.

The rock is just out of the ocean!

There is nothing else to look around in this area, but even if rocks are coming out of the ocean there are spectacular. People do not see around.

Nice coast line and interesting looking rock

I wouldn't say this is a must place but if you have a car, it is nice to explore the beautiful coast line of Hokkaido and take a look at this interesting looking rock.

This is about 20 minutes drive from Yoichi Town on National Highway 229, near Meotoiwa. I think I could see it from a closer distance in the past, but because the tunnel has been new, I can only see it from a distance, and I feel that the rock has become quite thin.
